Two courses will be offered this fall to residents of West TN, here in Madison County. We will host a Basic Course and an Advanced Course. Please see flyers below for more information and registration.

Office Consults 

Our Horticulture Extension Agent, Celeste Scott, is available at the office for consultation on many issues ranging from home and garden pests, to chemical recommendation​, application, soil sampling, and plant selection. If you have a sick plant or an insect/plant that you would like identified, bring it by the office for her to take a look! You can also contact her through e-mail if you would like to send in pictures from your phone.​

The Madison County Master Gardener Spring Plant Sale 2019

Thank you to everyone who made this plant sale possible through volunteering, providing plants, and most importantly those who came to SHOP!! The Madison County Master Gardener association would like to thank the community for their support and they look forward to using the funds to promote horticulture education in our communities.

West TN Research & Education Center 605 Airways Blvd. Jackson, TN 38301

This event is a MUST for avid gardeners in the ​West TN area. The sale’s plant selections have been propagated from the MCMG’s own gardens and personal collections. MCMG’s are happy and eager to share GREAT plants that perform well in our area with GREAT people. Plant selections will include: herbaceous perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, vegetables, & potted plants. For those looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, please browse through our Garden Art & Gift area.

The sale will also feature plant selections from the West TN Research & Education Center that have been grown by the UT Gardens-Jackson. Proceeds benefit the WTREC and the MCMG volunteer association.

Cash and Check only will be accepted as payment. This event is FREE and open to the public. We hope to see you & your neighbor & their neighbor at the SALE!

Summer Celebration Lawn & Garden Show 2019 – Kaleidoscope

What:   This is the 30th anniversary of Summer Celebration and our theme is “Kaleidoscope of Colors.”  We will             take you on a journey through the years with glimpses of themes from years past, and a wonderful display of color. Talks are varied with something for every gardeners interest. Don’t forget about the plant sale which​ will begin at 8am. Admission for the day’s events is $5 and free for you 17 and under. See you there!

Master Gardener Training 2019


Registration for the 2019 TN Extension Master Gardener Program will begin in May! Classes begin the first week of August and deadline for registration is Friday, July 19th. WE will be meeting on Thursdays from 1-4pm at the Madison County Extension Office. I would like to invite you to take part in a program that has grown into an inspiring volunteer organization in this community known as Madison County Master Gardeners.
